Cearum: cereal foliar nutrient combined with R100

Cearum is designed for use on cereals and contains a balanced ratio of manganese, copper and zinc, with the biostimulant R100, which boosts nutrient uptake and increases cytokinin levels to stimulate growth. Manganese, zinc and copper are all required for early plant establishment, tiller production and maximising photosynthesis for the maintenance of healthy green leaves.

What is Cearum and what does it do?

Cearum is designed for use on cereals and contains a balanced ratio of manganese, copper and zinc, combined
with the biostimulant R100.

What is R100 and what does it do?

R100 biostimulant contains a patented combination of two disubstituted urea compounds (DPU) and gamma polyglutamic acid. DPU boosts cytokinin levels in tissues with resulting increased cell division and growth. Gamma-PGA binds to foliar applied cations to improve uptake

Why should I use Cearum?

The addition of R100 biostimulant to Cearum significantly increases the uptake of manganese, zinc and copper. This increased nutrient use efficiency supports the plant in the production of chlorophyll, increasing root and shoot growth.

Information

Benefits

  • Soluble concentrate formulation of manganese, copper and zinc, supplemented by magnesium, nitrogen and sulphur, with R100 biostimulant
  • Manganese content is a blend of fast uptake nitrate and more persistent sulphate forms
  • Copper, manganese and zinc ratios reflect their concentration in cereals.

Agronomic Guidelines

  • Readily compatible, add to the spray tank FIRST
  • Do not apply in less than 100 l/ha spray volume (150 l/ha preferable)
  • Repeat applications may be required if symptoms persist
  • Do not mix Cearum with phenoxy herbicides (e.g. MCPA, mecoprop, 2, 4D).
Frequently asked questions

Which cereals benefit most from Cearum?

Cearum is suitable for all cereal crops, including wheat, barley, oats and rye, particularly where soils or tissue analysis indicate deficiencies in manganese, copper or zinc.

When is the best time to apply Cearum?

Apply from early tillering through to flag leaf emergence to support establishment and tiller production, which will in turn maintain healthy green leaves during key growth stages.

How does R100 enhance nutrient uptake in Cearum?

Our patented R100 technology boosts cytokinin levels for increased cell division and growth, while its gamma-PGA component binds to foliar-applied cations, improving nutrient use efficiency.

Why are manganese, copper and zinc important for cereals?

  • Manganese: Supports photosynthesis and enzyme function.
  • Copper: Aids lignin synthesis and pollen fertility.
  • Zinc: Essential for enzyme activation and protein synthesis.

Together, they help maintain healthy leaf area and maximise yield potential.

Can Cearum correct visible deficiency symptoms?

Yes. It can be used both preventatively and curatively. In cases of visible deficiency, repeat applications may be needed if symptoms persist.

Is Cearum compatible with other crop protection products?

Cearum is generally compatible and should be added to the spray tank first. However, it should not be mixed with phenoxy herbicides such as MCPA, mecoprop, or 2,4-D.

What spray volume is recommended for Cearum?

Do not apply in less than 100 L/ha. For optimum coverage and uptake, 150 L/ha is preferable.

How does Cearum contribute to early plant establishment?

By supplying key trace elements and biostimulant activity early in the crop’s life, Cearum encourages stronger root and shoot growth, greater tiller numbers and improved resilience against abiotic stress.

Can Cearum be used alongside a regular trace element programme?

Yes. Its balanced nutrient ratios complement many existing micronutrient programmes, though rates should be adjusted according to soil and tissue test results.

What are the environmental advantages of using Cearum?

By improving nutrient use efficiency through biostimulant technology, Cearum helps reduce the risk of nutrient loss to the environment while maximising crop response from each application.
