Meet the team

Dr Mark Palmer, Commercial Director

Mark gained his PhD in plant physiology at Bangor University before starting his career as an agronomist. He moved into a technical role with a major agronomy business, with an emphasis on analysis and interpretation of trials information. This led to a role developing a portfolio of adjuvants, foliar nutrition and bioscience products and an international business development remit. Mark joined IntraCrop in 2018 and has been instrumental in developing our science-led approach to biostimulants and adjuvants, working with universities and distribution partners to create a range of high quality, innovative products. Outside work, Mark is a family man who gives back to the community by volunteering with Welsh Mountain Rescue. For relaxation, he enjoys white water kayaking!

Neal Sanders, Operations Manager

Neal graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in Agricultural and Food Marketing. He has spent almost 30 years working in the agrochemical industry, including multi-national, cross-functional roles in management and marketing at Griffin, Agform, Bayer and Verdesian.  For the last decade, Neal has focused on biostimulant development, registration, manufacturing and sales. He is a former board member of the European Biostimulant Industry Council (EBIC) and is currently co-leader of the EBIC Phosphites project team. He was also instrumental in setting up the Phosphite Biostimulant Stewardship Group, of which IntraCrop is a founder member. Outside work, Neal is a keen sailor and cyclist.

Darren Coleman, Supply Chain Manager

Darren earned his E-Commerce degree, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma and Postgraduate Certificate, from Birmingham City University. Darren is skilled in data mining and breaking this down into concise but relevant information that can be used to make supply chain efficiencies. He joined IntraCrop in January 2023 with 15 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management and is responsible for the efficient production and distribution of our products. Outside work, Darren is married with three children and enjoys playing and watching cricket and football, as well as visiting new places around the UK with his family.

Rachael Millward, Key Account Manager

Rachael has recently graduated with a degree in Agriculture and Crop Science from the University of Nottingham. She has returned to the IntraCrop team as an Account Manager, where she will cover the UK and Ireland, with a view to working on some international accounts in the near future. She will also continue to deliver technical support and knowledge transfer following her industry placement in 2022/23. In her spare time, Rachael enjoys walking with her German short-haired pointer, riding her horse and working on the beef farm, which she has done for the past 12 years.

Jack Hill, Key Account Manager

Jack studied at Swansea University and graduated with a BSc in Geography. Not originally from a farming background, he discovered an interest in agriculture when he worked on a mixed farm in Australia whilst travelling.  On his return to the UK, Jack joined Bayer as a graduate trainee, where he spent 8 years in a commercial technical support role before specialising in horticulture, liaising with supermarkets, food processors and vegetable producers on crop protection, biologicals and digital farming. He joined IntraCrop in 2022 as an Account Manager, working closely with distributors in the UK and overseas. Outside work, Jack enjoys spending time with his family, playing rugby and participating in various physical challenges.

Michelle Williams, Administrator

Michelle has worked in office management and administration for many years. She has looked after sales and procurement administration for IntraCrop for more than 15 years and has also recently taken responsibility for label stock and samples. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys walking and going to exercise classes.

Nishka Kapoor, Technical Communications Officer

Nishka has recently graduated with a degree in Biochemistry and Genetics from the University of Sheffield. Originally from Mumbai, India she supports both the technical and commercials teams at IntaCrop. In this role, she will be involved in new product development and marketing to support product innovation and growth. Nishka spends her free time riding horses, going to the gym, and discovering new gluten-free restaurants in the UK.

Michael Noonan, Key Account Manager

Michael graduated with a Masters in Crop Science from University College Dublin. He worked in the Irish seed industry for a decade before joining AB Agri Ltd, where he gained extensive experience in the animal nutrition industry, supporting key accounts in several EMEA territories. Having lived in mainland Europe for 8 years, he acquired wide commercial experience in agribusiness organisations across several cultures and geographical territories. His key focus areas being stakeholder management, B2B/B2C sales optimization and knowledge transfer. In his role, he further supports IntraCrop in building and maintaining strong customer relationships, working with distributors in the UK and overseas. Michael has taken his BASIS exam in Crop Protection and is a member of the British Grassland Society. In his spare time, he enjoys keeping up with current affairs, swimming, great outdoors with family, and travel.

Gareth Thomas, Administration Manager

Gareth is responsible for sales and purchase order processing, logistics, stock control and invoicing for IntraCrop. He has worked with IntraCrop for 12 years and before that worked for an accountancy practice. Gareth is married with two children and six grandchildren and enjoys gardening and puzzles.

Tom Godfrey, Key Account Manager

Tom studied at the Royal Agricultural University, graduating with a BSc in Agriculture in 2021. He started his career in Devon where he ran compliance and legislation checks for the storage and application of biosolids to land. He then went on to work for precision crop production service provider, Frontier Precision Services. Frontier Precision Services are committed to innovation and the improvement of growers’ agronomic and economic performance, making Tom an excellent fit in the biostimulant sector. As a Spanish speaker, Tom will support our growing international business. He will also work connecting digital resources and plant biostimulant use to help farms overcome climate-related challenges. Tom is a FACTs qualified advisor, providing a credible service to growers requiring nutrient management advice. In his spare time, Tom enjoys many seasonal sports such as golf, rugby, shooting and mountain biking.

Emily Way, Technical Officer

Emily returned to the IntraCrop team after completing her professional placement with us in 2021/22. She holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Exeter and is a BASIS-qualified crop protection professional. Now a key member of the technical team, Emily is actively involved in new product development, registration, technical support, and field trials. Her work spans from designing trial protocols to analysing data and supporting the development and positioning of biostimulant products for commercial use. Outside of work, Emily enjoys playing tennis and spending time outdoors, often found walking or running through the countryside with her black Labrador.
