Adhere is a new and unique combination of readily biodegradable, non-hazardous adjuvants for use with residual herbicides pre and post emergence to enhance their efficacy. Containing a blend of fatty acid methyl esters combined with rosin and resin esters and emulsifiers, Adhere reduces the number of spray droplets under 100 microns, decreasing spray drift and ensuring even deposition over the soil surface. The rosin and resin esters are tackifiers which stick and increase the adsorption of the herbicide onto soil particles, reducing leaching through the soil profile.
Adhere decreases drift by reducing the number of droplets under 100 microns in diameter which are more prone to drift. In trials conducted by Silsoe Spray Applications Unit in 2020, Adhere was significantly more effective than C-Cure in reducing the number of driftable fine spray droplets when applied via a flat fan nozzle (FF11003).
Adhere ensures even spray deposition and improved coverage over the soil surface. A 2018 blackgrass herbicide application trial demonstrated improved coverage with the addition of Adhere over the control.
Adhere improves the efficacy and crop safety of residual herbicides by ensuring even spray deposition and by binding the herbicide to soil particles in the upper soil layer where the majority of weeds germinate. Spray application trials have shown that nozzle choice can impact herbicide efficacy, with reduced efficacy with higher rated drift reduction nozzles. Adhere improves herbicide efficacy with all the nozzles tested.
Contains an emulsifiable concentrate formulation containing 747.8 g/l oil (rapeseed fatty acid esters) and 99.64 g/l rosin and resin esters.
The infographic below shows the difference between using or not using Adhere.

Adhere is a biodegradable, renewable-based formulation designed specifically to enhance spray droplet adhesion under challenging conditions (e.g., rain, dense foliage). Unlike general-purpose surfactants, its formulation is tuned to reduce drift and wash-off, ensuring higher efficacy and more uniform coverage.
Adhere improves spray retention on foliage by strengthening the bond between droplets and leaf surface. This helps reduce product loss during rain or irrigation, making sprays more effective and reducing the need for re-application.
Yes. Adhere is biodegradable, with a low ecotoxicological profile. It’s formulated to be compatible with biostimulants, beneficial microorganisms and other biological tools, supporting sustainability goals.
Typically, Adhere is used at a rate of 0.1% to 0.2% v/v in the spray tank (e.g., 0.1–0.2 L per 100 L water), but may vary depending on crop type, canopy density, and weather. Always refer to the product label or technical sheet for precise guidance.
Yes. Adhere helps droplets spread and stay intact even in windy or hot conditions, reducing drift and improving active ingredient deposition, leading to more consistent performance.
Adhere is designed to be robust in a wide range of water qualities. It’s been tested in hard water and in combination with common PPP or nutrient formulations. If users are unsure, they should test a small mix in advance following standard compatibility protocols.
No. Adhere’s biodegradable nature ensures that it degrades quickly post-application, leaving no visible residue. This means minimal impact on crop harvest or downstream processes.
Adhere aligns with sustainability objectives through its renewable-based formula and environmental safety profile. By improving efficacy and reducing product waste, it helps lower chemical usage and supports responsible, resource-efficient crop protection systems.
