Status® wins Hungarian crop production Award

Danuba, IntraCrop’s distributor in Hungary, has won an industry award for Status®. It received 1st place in the Input Materials category at the Hungarian Crop Production Product Award.

The award was presented on 9th April 2026 and is prestigious in Hungary, considered to be one of the most respected honours in crop production. The awards recognise innovations that improve efficiency and enhance competitiveness, in turn delivering tangible value to growers.

Status® is marketed in Hungary as Főnix. The popularity of the technology reflects the growing understanding of biostimulants and the solutions they offer in modern agriculture. As environmental pressures intensify and input costs continue to rise, innovations that support plant resilience and performance are becoming essential tools for sustainable crop production.

Status®’ mode of action directly enhances photosynthetic efficiency, supporting plant energy production and recovery under stress. Key features include:

  • Increased chloroplast activity (with reported increases of up to 20%)
  • Improved tolerance to abiotic stresses such as drought, heat, and herbicide exposure
  • Enhanced recovery following stress events
  • Support for nitrogen metabolism through pyroglutamic amino acid (PA)

Status® contains IntraCrop’s novel single-molecule biostimulant MTU®, which plays a central role in boosting photosynthetic performance and overall plant vitality.

In Hungary, Danuba has marketed the product through extensive local research, working in collaboration with academic partners including the University of Debrecen. Trials have demonstrated improved recovery after stress and reduced growth suppression, with particularly strong results seen in sunflower production.

This award reflects a shift within agriculture. As time has gone on, biostimulants have become increasingly recognised not just as complementary inputs, but as critical components of resilient farming systems. This is a trend that IntraCrop is passionate about supporting and seeing continue, so we would like to extend our sincere congratulations to Danuba for earning this significant piece of recognition.

As noted in the award context, innovations that strengthen plant physiological processes are no longer simply a competitive advantage, they are becoming fundamental to economically and environmentally sustainable crop production.

For IntraCrop, this recognition reinforces our ongoing commitment to delivering science-led solutions that support growers in meeting the challenges of modern agriculture, helping to improve performance and return on investment across diverse cropping systems around the world.
