Hortifeeds showcases MTU® at Four Oaks Trade Show

MTU® was showcased to the UK horticultural industry at this year’s Four Oaks Trade Show, when IntraCrop’s distribution partner Hortifeeds presented HortiSynthesis to growers and other industry professionals in attendance. Four Oaks is a leading horticultural trade event that took place this year on 2nd and 3rd September in Cheshire.

HortiSynthesis incorporates IntraCrop’s leading single-molecule technology, MTU®. This innovative biostimulant works by enhancing the rate and efficiency of photosynthesis, helping plants convert light into energy more effectively. Through HortiSynthesis, the technology supports early growth, improved resilience to abiotic stresses such as heat and variable water availability, more efficient nitrogen utilisation and stronger root development.

The technology also supports crop productivity and improves overall quality. MTU has proven its potential across the horticulture sector, with trials conducted across a diverse range of crops and growing systems.

Mike Wainwright, Agronomist for Hortifeeds, said, “Four Oaks was a great opportunity to speak directly with growers about HortiSynthesis and the potential for MTU technology within horticultural production. There was particular interest in improving establishment, crop resilience and nutrient use efficiency, especially as growers continue to manage increasingly challenging growing conditions. We were also delighted to win a prize for Hortisynthesis under ‘Best professional product or service’.”

Mark Palmer, Commercial Director at IntraCrop, said, “It’s fantastic to see MTU® reaching more growers across the UK horticultural sector through HortiSynthesis. We’re really pleased with the work Hortifeeds is doing to introduce the technology to growers and demonstrate the benefits it can deliver across a diverse range of horticultural crops. Events such as Four Oaks provide an important opportunity to have those conversations directly with the industry and we’re excited to see awareness and understanding of MTU® continuing to grow within horticulture.”

Hortifeeds has a distribution agreement with IntraCrop for HortiSynthesis specifically within the UK horticultural market.
