Nutrino Pro Achieves CE Mark Certification
After its success achieving CE Mark Certification for Status® last year, IntraCrop has successfully gained a CE Mark for its foliar technology, Nutrino Pro. This certification has been gained under the EU Fertilising Products Regulation (FPR, EU 2019/1009) for “tolerance to abiotic stress” on broadacre crops. In order to gain this certification, the team has had to provide evidence by way of data from a wide range of trials. As a science-led organisation committed to backing up claims with replicated, detailed trial data, this has been readily provided. Nutrino Pro can now be sold freely across the 27 EU Member States under this well-known regulatory framework.
Nutrino Pro is a polymer-urea-based foliar nitrogen product. It combines magnesium and sulphur with two of our biostimulant technologies, R100 and Pidolic Acid. It was developed specifically to enhance nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) and mitigate the effects of abiotic stress, such as heat and drought. Nutrino Pro offers sustained nitrogen availability over a 6–8 week window, supporting increased canopy development and reducing the peaks and troughs often seen with conventional nitrogen applications. It also boosts cytokinin levels in plant tissues, increasing photosynthetic capacity and maintaining green leaf retention.
Across UK and European trials, Nutrino Pro has consistently delivered impressive results. In wheat, oilseed rape and maize, it has repeatedly shown yield increases of 0.3 to 0.5 t/ha, often under reduced applications of traditional nitrogen products. In replicated trials under a variety of conditions, Nutrino Pro delivered more than 95% nitrogen use efficiency.
All of these findings were submitted as part of the application for CE certification and the product has now been formally recognised for its ability to help crops maintain growth and performance under climatic and environmental stress.
