IntraCrop Strengthens Presence in Greece

Last week, IntraCrop team members Tom Godfrey and Emily Way spent four and a half days in mainland Greece, starting in Athens and making their way up to Thessaloniki. Their visit focused on strengthening relationships with NitroFarm, IntraCrop’s primary distributor in Greece, and connecting with sales representatives to discuss positioning biostimulants in the region.

They also spent time visiting a variety of AgroShops, which play a pivotal role in Greek agriculture, serving as a direct point of purchase for farmers seeking fertilisers, herbicides, pesticides, and biostimulants. Emily and Tom had the opportunity to engage with shop owners, providing them with detailed insights into IntraCrop’s product range, its modes of action, and best practices for application timing and crop suitability. Their discussions shed light on specific grower needs and how IntraCrop’s biostimulants can help mitigate climatic stresses increasingly affecting Mediterranean agriculture.

Discussions with Nitrofarm focused on how to position IntraCrop’s products in their respective regions, identifying successful applications as well as potential challenges in market adoption. The exchange provided valuable insights into how biostimulants like Status® and Nutrino Pro are being received by growers and the growing demand for innovative crop solutions.

Reflecting on the trip, Emily Way shared her thoughts on the experience, “It was fantastic to see first-hand how our products are being used in the field and to hear directly from growers about their needs. The enthusiasm from both retailers and farmers for our biostimulants was encouraging, especially as we look to expand our presence in the Mediterranean region.”
