IntraCrop’s innovative biostimulant technology, MTU, has been featured in the Czech edition of National Geographic. MTU, a component of IntraCrop’s CE-marked product Status®, has been proven to increase crop yields by up to 15%, even under reduced fertiliser use, making it an asset as growers move towards sustainable agriculture.
Jaroslav Nisler, who led on the development of MTU, tells us, “I must admit that we had high expectations at the beginning, but the results still surprised us. In practice, MTU has been shown to significantly increase the yields of wheat, corn, rapeseed, sunflower, tomatoes and olives. MTU increases the resistance of plants to drought or high temperatures, and at the same time promotes the growth of the root system, which can be up to 40% greater in stressed plants. The biostimulant also increases the intake of nitrogen fertilisers by up to a third, which makes it possible to reduce the amount of fertilisers applied to the field. Seeing how our work is reflected in the real world and the positive impact it has on agriculture around the world is a huge reward for all of us.”
Status®, which contains MTU, has been CE-marked for its ability to enhance nitrogen use efficiency in crops.
