IntraCrop extends product range in Hungary

Building on its existing successful relationship with leading distributor, Danuba, IntraCrop is extending its product range in Hungary to include its new biostimulant combining the award-winning MTU® and pidolic acid.  Already sold in the UK under the name Status, the product will be launched in Hungary in time for Spring 2023 applications.

István Zajácz, Managing Director for Danuba, recently brought a group of colleagues to the UK to learn more about the science behind the new biostimulant and to see it in trials. He said, “We prefer to work with companies that can provide solid scientific evidence of product efficacy. On our visit to the UK, we were impressed with the support available to distributors from IntraCrop. This product, and the other IntraCrop products that we already sell, help farmers in Hungary to manage abiotic stresses caused by weather conditions, as well as improve nutrient use efficiency at a time when fertiliser prices are so high.”

Status is already available in the UK and is proven to increase chlorophyll content, protect the photosynthetic apparatus under stress, and support the nitrogen assimilation cycle. This enables the plant to retain green leaf area even in stressed conditions, improving yield and quality.  Dr Mark Palmer, Commercial Director for IntraCrop, sees Status as a game-changer for farmers dealing with abiotic stress such as drought. “As our weather becomes more unpredictable, crops are having to cope with greater stress at a time when they need to maximise nutrient uptake and energy production for growth.  Sequenced applications of Status significantly improve the crop’s tolerance levels and speed up recovery once the stress conditions are resolved. This will make a big difference to growers pushing for yield in challenging conditions.”
