Mark Palmer to speak at Biostimulants World Congress 2025
IntraCrop’s Commercial Director, Mark Palmer, has been announced as a speaker at the Biostimulants World Congress 2025. This year, the congress takes place from 2nd to 5th December in Barcelona. The event is one of the world’s largest gatherings for the plant biostimulant and food production industries.
The Biostimulants World Congress frequently hosts more than 1,500 delegates working in agriculture, food production and biostimulants, including scientists, researchers and business leaders. Its aim is to share the latest scientific findings and market insights, as well as important discussions on regulatory updates that have the potential to shape the future of the biostimulant industry.
The congress now takes place over two different streams, Science and Technical and Strategy and Commercial, to which Mark will contribute. The Strategy and Commercial stream will see multiple panels and speakers explore critical business issues that are driving innovation and adoption or, alternatively, blocking uptake of biostimulants.
In his role for IntraCrop, as well as co-Chair of the MTS Steering Group for the European Biostimulants Industry Council (EBIC), Mark has long played a pivotal role in shaping industry-wide frameworks that connect science, policy and adoption. He will take part in a panel on trade and tariffs at the BWC, sharing the importance of evidence-based product development and how IntraCrop’s science led method is leading the way for responsible innovation.
This panel will discuss the newest information and understanding about imposed tariffs, exploring what has the impact been, if any, on the industry, and the way business plans may have needed to evolve. They will consider which markets are being exported to most regularly and where future interest lies and why. Research suggests that there is market opportunity beyond Europe into Asia, North America, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East – but which markets have the most potential and why? This panel will aim to plan for the future of biostimulant trade and share the important considerations around decision making.

We have some exciting new products on the horizon and results being collated from our 2025 trial programmes, so this year’s event is coming at a really useful and interesting point for us as a team.
