Protect the yield of vulnerable crops
Pod sealants are typically used on crops such as oilseed rape, linseed, beans and peas to prevent pod shatter and seed loss close to harvest. Brittle seed pods are very susceptible to shattering and considerable yield losses can occur.
Pod sealants work by coating the seed heads with a thin film of a polymer which has the effect of holding the pod together and reducing the likelihood of shattering.
Pod sealants are commonly added to the spraytank in conjunction with dessicants such as diquat, glyphosate or glufosinate. Use of these products alone can significantly increase the risk of pod shatter.
The Intracrop Pod Sealants will not impair the natural crop drying process and will affect neither quality nor germination.
